Yes. The browser tools, the desktop app, the domain metrics API and the backlinks API all draw from the same pool. There are no separate allowances to manage.

Requests return HTTP 402 with a clear error, and the web tools disable the fetch button rather than failing quietly. Nothing renews automatically - you top up when you choose to.

A request that returns data is charged. Balance checks are always free. If a lookup fails because of a fault on our side, contact support and we will credit it back.

DomDetailer sells data, not a rank tracker, a site auditor or a keyword tool. If you need Moz Pro or the full Majestic interface and reporting, those subscriptions do things we do not replace.

Three places. Moz and Majestic are licensed from the companies that produce them and returned unchanged. Pretty is our own crawl index, built and operated in-house.

No. DomDetailer holds those licences. Not needing two subscriptions is the reason the service was built in 2015.

Pretty is DomDetailer's own web crawl and link index. It currently holds around 11.5 billion pages, 110 billion links and 237 million domains, and it is what lets us return raw backlink rows at this price.

Moz and Majestic figures are as fresh as their own index updates. Pretty is refreshed continuously as crawl data is processed, with higher-authority domains revisited more often.

Usually because the source has no record of it - a genuinely new domain, or one with no external links. A zero is a real answer, not an error. The HTTP status tells you whether the request itself succeeded.

Yes. Pass subdomain=1 to the backlinks endpoint and the query runs against the subdomain rather than the registrable domain.

API v2. It returns everything v1 did, plus Pretty metrics and additional Majestic fields, for the same single credit. v1 is maintained only for integrations that already use it.

Yes, applied per account. Concurrency is supported up to 20 threads. If you exceed the limit the API returns HTTP 429 with a retry_after value - back off and retry rather than hammering.
